Terpene resin (Polyterpene resin), our main product, is also called tackifying resin (tackfier).Terpene resin functions to give tackiness when mixed with plastics or elastic polymers (elastomers, such as rubber), base materials, and is an indispensable ingredient in manufacturing adhesive or pressure sensitive adhesive systems. As a tackfier, terpene resin has excellent stability in high or low temperature, and also has strong chemical resistance to acid or alkaline.

Excellent compatibility with base materials is another characteristics of terpene-based tackifiers, both in the forms of mono-polymer or copolymer with petroleum-based hydrocarbons. Terpene-based resin can easily be mingled with base materials of plastics or elastomers and is far superior to any competitive petroleum-based resins, especially in the manufacture of pressure sensitive adhesives.

Furthermore, hydrogenated grades of terpene resins have excellent properties in color (water white), thermal stability, and weather resistance. They are highly valued in a wide range of markets as a health conscious, safe natural material for adhesives, especially in the manufacture of hygienic products such as disposable diapers. They are also widely used as additives to modify properties of various plastics.
