Terpenes are essential oil derived from pine trees, and their main components, α-pinene and β-pinene, are of basic frame structures of various types of other essential oils or balms, and thus they are used as the starting materials for synthetic fragrances.
Yasuhara Chemical supplies not only α-pinene and β-pinene, but also their derivatives, such as myrcene and allo-ocimene as raw materials for the synthesis of fragrances of toiletries, i.e. detergents, toothpaste or bath agents.
D-limonene is main component of the essential oil derived from citrus fruits (orange oil), and is also used in perfumes, air fresheners, or masking agents. Moreover, some of these derivatives are classified as naturally-derived solvents, which have quite different characteristics from petroleum-based solvents, and are widely used in many application fields including IT industries.
