Note: YS Resin TO125 (125°C softening point) is exclusively produced by Yasuhara Chemical.
Terpene Phenolic Resin
Terpene phenolic resins are copolymers of terpene monomers (biomass-derived) and phenol. In addition to the broad compatibility of terpene resins, the degree of modification can be adjusted by grade, allowing compatibility with a wide range of materials from low to high polarity. These resins improve adhesion to difficult-to-bond surfaces such as polyolefins. High-softening-point grades, with their high Tg (glass transition temperature), enhance heat resistance and fixation in adhesive formulations. They also improve damping in rubber products, flowability in engineering plastics, and paintability. They are used in elastomer blends, acrylic adhesives, and epoxy-based products for property enhancement.
- Thermoplastic tackifier resin and additive for olefin modification
- Compatible with high-polarity and hard-to-bond materials, available in high-softening-point grades
Applications
Acrylic adhesives, modified silicone adhesives, sealants, damping/isolation rubber, tires, and other rubber molded products

Styrene Resin
YS Resin SX is a 100% styrene-based tackifier resin developed using oligomer polymerization technology. It enhances side-block reinforcement in synthetic rubber systems and improves heat resistance in synthetic rubber adhesives. Due to its high refractive index, it is also effective in modifying optical polymers. It contributes to optical properties, light resistance, and adhesion performance in acrylic and modified silicone adhesives without compromising base performance.
- 100% styrene tackifier resin
- Excellent compatibility with synthetic rubber (SIS, SBS, SEPS, SEBS) and acrylic adhesives
Applications
Acrylic adhesives, synthetic rubber adhesives, modified silicone adhesives, high-polarity polymer modifiers

Hydrogenated Terpene Resin
These resins offer excellent compatibility with various elastomers and polymers. Compared to conventional resins, they provide superior color, heat resistance, and weatherability. They perform exceptionally well in premium hot melt adhesives. When used in UV-curable adhesives, they exhibit low curing inhibition and enhance adhesion and initial tack to olefins.
- Water-white color
- Excellent thermal stability and weather resistance
- Low melt viscosity in HMA formulations
Applications
Synthetic rubber adhesives, modified silicone adhesives, high-polarity polymer modifiers, tires, and other rubber molded products
Appearance/Form
Flake form
Hydrogenated Terpene Phenolic Resin
This is a hydrogenated grade of terpene phenolic resin, which is a copolymer of renewable terpene monomers and phenol. In addition to the original properties of terpene phenolic resins, it offers excellent thermal and UV stability. Hydrogenated terpene phenolic resins are ideal for applications requiring high transparency and stability.
- Clear-type resin made by hydrogenating terpene phenolic resin
- Improved light and heat resistance
- Colorless, transparent, and odorless
Applications
Optical adhesives, clear coatings, photosensitive materials, inks, paints
