Basic Policy on Information Security

Yasuhara Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Company) is committed to protecting the information assets the Company receives from customers and those the Company acquires through business activities from all threats. The Company has established the following information security policy and will strive to ensure that it is thoroughly implemented.

Basic Policy on Information Security

  1. Information security efforts
    The Company shall establish an information security management system and regulations and rules to ensure its implementation and shall operate the information security management system in an effective manner.
  2. Observance of rules and regulations
    The Company shall comply with laws and other norms related to information security as well as contractual security requirements.
  3. Protection of information assets
    The Company shall take measures to protect information assets that the Company possesses from all threats and to preserve their confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  4. Response to security incidents
    In addition to making efforts to prevent information security incidents, if an incident does occur, the Company shall investigate the cause, take countermeasures promptly, and take other appropriate measures, including measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  5. Education and training
    The Company shall provide necessary education and training to all executives and employees to ensure that they recognize the importance of information security.
  6. Continuous improvement
    The Company shall regularly confirm that this policy is adhered to and make every effort to continuously review it and make improvements to maintain its effectiveness.
  7. Dissemination
    This policy shall be disseminated to all executives, employees, temporary workers, and outsourcing company employees. Additionally, it shall be disclosed outside the company as required.

Basic policy on the protection of personal information

Yasuhara Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Company) shall handle the personal information of our customers, business partners, shareholders, and every person related to the Company with appropriate precaution as required of an entity handling personal information. While acknowledging that it is an important social responsibility of the Company and also indispensable to our corporate activities, the Company shall ensure appropriate protection and handling of personal information based on the following policy.

  1. Strict compliance with laws and regulations pertaining to protection of personal information.
    The Company shall strictly comply with laws and regulations pertaining to the protection of personal information, and shall make every effort to ensure that personal information is protected and handled appropriately.
  2. Management of personal information
    The Company shall establish a management system to protect personal information and also implement preventive measures against the leak, loss, or falsification of personal information.
  3. Purpose of utilization and acquisition range of personal information
    The Company shall make the purpose of utilization known to the individual when requesting the provision of personal information. Information shall be collected within the boundaries of necessity in a legal and fair manner.
  4. Utilization range of personal information
    The Company shall not utilize or provide personal information for purposes other than what were expressly notified at the time of acquiring the personal information, except in the case where legal circumstances and rational reasons warrant.
  5. Restriction on provision of personal information to a third party
    The Company shall not provide or disclose the personal information of an individual to a third party without prior consent, except in cases of disclosure requests based on laws and regulations, and where there are justifiable grounds.
  6. Addressing requests for disclose, revision, or discontinuance of utilization of personal information
    The Company shall immediately address requests from individuals to disclose, revise, or discontinue of utilization of their personal information in our possession.
